Sub: Setting up of on-line
grievance redressal /telephonic complaint centre in Calicut
Commissionerate-Reg.
The assessees /public are
hereby informed that an "On-line Grievance Redressal /Complaint Centre"
has been established at the Hqrs. of the Calicut Commissionerate with
effect from 01/01/2001. The details of set up and services offered by the
above centre are as follows:-

The Superintendent of Central Excise (PRO) of the
Commissionerate Hqrs. Office, will be the proper officer in charge
of the Centre.

A direct Telephone No:
(0495) 722508 has been provided for the Centre.

The assessees /public
may register their grievances/ complaints at the centre on the above
telephone number or in person / writing, simultaneously furnishing
their full/postal address and telephone number etc.

Acknowledgement of the
grievances / complaints registered at the Centre, will be issued by
communicating the running serial number of the entry made in the
Register maintained by the Centre for this purpose.

The grievances /
complaints registered at the centre, will be enquired into/ action
taken as quickly as possible and final replies will be sent to the
complainant within 30 working days from the date of
registration.

The Centre will
function under the direct control and supervision of the Additional
Commissioner (P&V) at the Hqrs.
Office.

2. It is, however, made clear
that anonymous / pseudonymous grievances/ complaints will not be
accepted / registered by the Centre.
